Helps to have excellent sound tech behind you so that you’re able to hear yourself really well in relation to your band . Seen some Vai stuff recently and it didn't seem (to my ears) to really be on par with accuracy on the faster runs and technique compared to a while back....but this is back to the good stuff...thanks for posting! Also, just before I get annihilated, I'm not criticising Vai...he's not my favourite artist (top5 maybe), but he is a hell of a player and composer and I'm unfairly comparing him to himself from some truly great playing he's done. Same can be said for Paul Gilbert and Eric Johnson...go back 8months and they didn't quite seem (again to me) to be as "on it"...but recently they are playing really really well...Father Time not robbing us of some fantastic playing just yet...
